Muawiya bin Hayda reported,

I came to the Prophet ﷺ, and when I reached him I said, "By Allah, I did not come to you until I had sworn more times than these," and Bahz joined his two palms together to indicate the number, "that I would never come to you nor follow your religion. And now I have come as a man who understands nothing except what Allah and His Messenger teach me. I ask you by the face of Allah, with what has Allah sent you to us?"He said, "With Islam."I asked, "And what are the signs of Islam?"He said, "That you say, 'I have submitted my face to Allah,' and that you devote yourself purely to Him, and that you establish the prayer, and that you give the zakat. Every Muslim is sacred and inviolable to another Muslim. They are two brothers who support one another. Allah does not accept any deed from a polytheist who associates partners with Him after having embraced Islam, and you must separate from the polytheists and join the Muslims. Why should I not hold you back by your waistbands from the Fire? Indeed, my Lord will summon me, and He will ask me, 'Did you convey the message to My servants?' And I will say, 'My Lord, I have indeed conveyed it to them.' So let those of you who are present convey it to those who are absent. Then you will be summoned with your mouths sealed shut with a muzzle, and the first thing that will speak from any of you will be his thigh and his palm."I said, "Prophet of Allah, is this our religion?"He said, "This is your religion. Wherever you do good, it will suffice you."

حدثنا إسماعيل أخبرنا

بهز بن حكيم عن أبيه عن جده قال

أتيت النبي ﷺ حين أتيته فقلت والله ما أتيتك حتى حلفت أكثر من عدد أولاء أن لا آتيك ولا آتي دينك وجمع بهز بين كفيه وقد جئت امرأ لا أعقل شيئا إلا ما علمني الله تبارك وتعالى ورسوله وإني أسألك بوجه الله بم بعثك الله إلينا قال بالإسلام قلت وما آيات الإسلام قال أن تقول أسلمت وجهي لله وتخليت وتقيم الصلاة وتؤتي الزكاة كل مسلم على مسلم محرم أخوان نصيران لا يقبل الله من مشرك أشرك بعد ما أسلم عملا وتفارق المشركين إلى المسلمين ما لي أمسك بحجزكم عن النار ألا إن ربي عز وجل داعي وإنه سائلي هل بلغت عباده وإني قائل رب إني قد بلغتهم فليبلغ الشاهد منكم الغائب ثم إنكم مدعوون مفدمة أفواهكم بالفدام ثم إن أول ما يبين عن أحدكم لفخذه وكفه قلت يا نبي الله هذا ديننا قال هذا دينكم وأينما تحسن يكفك
