Muawiya bin Hayda reported,

His brother or uncle stood up to address the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My neighbors, for what have they been seized?" The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him.He repeated, "My neighbors, for what have they been seized?" Again the Prophet ﷺ turned away from him.He said once more, "My neighbors, for what have they been seized?" And again the Prophet ﷺ turned away. Then the man said, "If I say this, people are claiming that Muhammad forbids wrongdoing yet keeps it to himself."The Prophet ﷺ said what he said. Then the man's brother or nephew rose and said, "Messenger of Allah, he is, he is..."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "You have indeed said it," or, "your spokesman has said it. Even if I were doing that, it would be upon me, and what concern is it of yours? Release his neighbors to him."
