The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate food that had been cooked by fire, then prayed without performing ablution.
حدثنا يحيى عن ابن جريج قال أخبرني عمر بن عطاء بن أبي الخوار قال سمعت
أكل رسول الله ﷺ مما غيرت النار ثم صلى ولم يتوضأ
Its isnad is sahih. Amr bin Ataa bin Abu Khuwar, with a dammah on the kha and a light waw, is reliable. Ibn Main, Abu Zura, and others graded him reliable, and the hadith is similar in meaning to 1988.
