The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the dawn prayer on Friday "Alif Lam Mim, the revelation" [Sajdah 32:1–2] and "Has there come" [Insan 76:1], and in the Friday prayer Surah al-Jumuah and "When the hypocrites come to you" [Munafiqun 63:1].
حدثنا يحيى عن شعبة حدثني مخول عن مسلم البطين عن سعيد بن جبير
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يقرأ في صلاة الصبح يوم الجمعة الم تنزيل وهل أتى وفي الجمعة بسورة الجمعة وإذا جاءك المنافقون
Its isnad is sahih. Makhwal is Ibn Rashid Kufi, and he is trustworthy. Makhwal follows the pattern of Muhammad. The hadith was also narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawud, and Nasai, as in al-Muntaqa 1634. It is found in Abu Dawud 1/417-418. See also 2456, 2457, 2800, 2908, 3040.
