Imran bin Husayn reported,

He related to him that a woman from Juhayna came to the Prophet ﷺ pregnant from adultery and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have incurred a prescribed penalty, so carry it out on me."He summoned her guardian and said, "Treat her well, and when she gives birth bring her to me." He did so. The Prophet ﷺ then gave instructions concerning her. Her garments were tied securely around her, and he commanded that she be stoned. Then he prayed over her.Umar said, "Are you praying over her when she has committed adultery?"He replied, "She has made such a repentance that, were it divided among seventy of the people of Madinah, it would be enough for them all. Could you find anything better than that she gave her very life for the sake of Allah ?"

حدثه أن امرأة أتيت النبي ﷺ من جهينة حبلى من الزنا فقالت يا رسول الله إني أصبت حدا فأقمه علي قال فدعا وليها فقال أحسن إليها فإذا وضعت فأتني بها ففعل فأمر بها فشكت عليها ثيابها ثم أمر بها فرجمت ثم صلى عليها فقال عمر رضي الله تعالى عنه تصلي عليها وقد زنت فقال لقد تابت توبة لو قسمت بين سبعين من أهل المدينة لوسعتهم وهل وجدت أفضل من أن جادت بنفسها لله عز وجل
