He had two wives. He came to one of them, and she began pulling at his turban and said, "You have come from your other wife."He replied, "I have come from Imran bin Husayn, who narrated from the Prophet ﷺ, I think he said, that the fewest inhabitants of Paradise will be women."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن أبي التياح قال
أنه كانت له امرأتان قال فجاء إلى إحداهما قال فجعلت تنزع به عمامته وقالت جئت من عند امرأتك قال جئت من عند عمران بن حصين فحدث عن النبي ﷺ أحسب أنه قال إن أقل ساكني الجنة النساء
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Tayah is Yazid bin Humayd, and he is trustworthy. The hadith has already appeared with the wording, "Most of the people of the Fire are women," and with the wording, "I looked into the Fire..." It is found in Muslim 4/2097, number 2738, in the chapter on remembrance, "Most of the people of Paradise are the poor," and in Tabarani's Al-Kabir 18/128, numbers 263 and 264, and in Hakim 2/604 with the same wording, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
