The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of you are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them, then those who follow them."Imran said, "I do not know whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned two generations after his own or three.""Then after them will come a people who give testimony before they are asked to give it, who betray trusts and cannot be relied upon, who make vows and do not fulfill them, and among whom stoutness appears."He said, "And they betray trusts and cannot be relied upon."
حدثنا حجاج أخبرنا شعبة قال سمعت أبا جمرة يقول جاءني زهدم في داري فحدثني قال سمعت عمران بن حصين يحدث أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن خيركم قرني فذكر مثله إلا أنه قال ويخونون ولا يؤتمنون
