I saw an elderly man in al-Ahwaz praying the afternoon prayer with the reins of his mount in his hand. The animal kept stepping backward, and he kept stepping back along with it. A man from the Khawarij was sitting nearby insulting him. When he finished his prayer, he said, "I heard what you were saying. I went on six or seven military expeditions with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and witnessed how he made things easy. I prefer to bring my mount back with me rather than leave it to wander off to where it is used to going, because that would be a hardship for me."I said, "How many units did he pray?"He said, "Two."This man turned out to be Abu Barza.
