I went with my father to visit Abu Barza, and at that time I was a boy with two earrings in my ears. He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said three times, "The rulers are from Quraysh, so long as they do three things. When they judge, they are just. When mercy is sought from them, they show mercy. When they make a covenant, they fulfill it. Whoever among them does not do that, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people."

دخلت مع أبي على أبي برزة وإن في أذني يومئذ لقرطين وإني غلام قال قال رسول الله ﷺ الأمراء من قريش ثلاثا ما فعلوا ثلاثا ما حكموا فعدلوا واسترحموا فرحموا وعاهدوا فوفوا فمن لم يفعل ذلك منهم فعليه لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين
