The Prophet ﷺ said, "Before the Hour, there will be al-harj."They asked, "What is al-harj?"He replied, "Killing."They said, "More than the killing we already do? In a single year we kill more than seventy thousand."He said, "It will not be your killing of the polytheists, but rather your killing of one another."They asked, "Will we still have our reason on that day?"He answered, "The reason of most people of that time will be stripped away, and in their place will remain worthless dregs of humanity. Most of them will think they stand on something, but they will stand on nothing."Abu Musa said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, I see no escape from it for myself or for you, should it overtake us, except that we leave it as we entered it, having shed no blood and seized no wealth."
حدثنا عفان قال ثنا حماد بن سلمة قال أخبرنا علي بن زيد عن حطان بن عبد الله الرقاشي
عن النبي ﷺ قال إن بين يدي الساعة الهرج قالوا وما الهرج قال القتل قالوا أكثر مما نقتل إنا لنقتل في العام الواحد أكثر من سبعين ألفا قال إنه ليس بقتلكم المشركين ولكن قتل بعضكم بعضا قالوا ومعنا عقولنا يومئذ قال إنه لينزع عقول أكثر أهل ذلك الزمان ويخلف له هباء من الناس يحسب أكثرهم أنه على شيء وليسوا على شيء قال أبو موسى والذي نفسي بيده ما أجد لي ولكم منها مخرجا إن أدركتني وإياكم إلا أن نخرج منها كما دخلناها لم نصب فيها دما ولا مالا
