I heard Abu Musa say from the pulpit that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The likeness of a righteous companion is that of a perfume seller. Even if he does not give you any of his perfume, you will still catch its fragrance. And the likeness of an evil companion is that of a blacksmith at his bellows."
