Abu Burda reported,

He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "This nation has been shown mercy. Allah has placed its punishment among its own members. On the Day of Resurrection, every one of them will be handed a man from the people of other religions, and it will be said, 'This is your ransom from the Fire.'"

حدثنا محمد بن سابق حدثنا ربيع يعني أبا سعيد النصري عن معاوية بن إسحاق عن أبي بردة قال

أبو بردة حدثني أبي

أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن هذه الأمة مرحومة جعل الله عز وجل عذابها بينها فإذا كان يوم القيامة دفع إلى كل امرئ منهم رجل من أهل الأديان فقال هذا يكون فداءك من النار
