A brother of Abu Musa was rushing headlong into the civil strife, and Abu Musa kept forbidding him, but he would not stop. So Abu Musa said, "I had thought that a small word from me, or a little admonition, would suffice you, but I see that it has not. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When two Muslims face each other with their swords and one kills the other, both the killer and the slain are in the Fire.'"They asked, "Messenger of Allah, this is the killer, but what about the one who was killed?"He replied, "He had intended to kill his companion."

أن أخا لأبي موسى كان يتسرع في الفتنة فجعل ينهاه ولا ينتهي فقال إن كنت أرى أنه سيكفيك مني اليسير أو قال من الموعظة دون ما أرى وإن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا تواجه المسلمان بسيفيهما فقتل أحدهما الآخر فالقاتل والمقتول في النار قالوا يا رسول الله هذا القاتل فما بال المقتول قال إنه أراد قتل صاحبه
