The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood at the door of a house in which there was a group from Quraysh. Holding the two doorposts, he asked, "Is there anyone in this house other than a Qurayshi?"Someone replied, "Messenger of Allah, no one except so-and-so, the son of our sister."He said, "The sister's son of a people is one of them."Then he said, "This authority shall remain in Quraysh as long as they show mercy when mercy is sought from them, judge justly when they judge, and act fairly when they distribute. Whoever among them does not do so, upon him be the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. No obligatory or voluntary deed will be accepted from him."
