Abu Musa Ashari reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a funeral procession passes by you, whether of a Jew, a Christian, or a Muslim, stand up for it. You are not standing for the deceased, but rather for the angels accompanying it."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا مرت بكم جنازة يهودي أو نصراني أو مسلم فقوموا لها فلستم لها تقومون إنما تقومون لمن معها من الملائكة
