He was one of the Companions of the Tree. He said, "Whenever a man brought his charity to the Prophet ﷺ, he would say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon the family of so-and-so.'"He said, "My father brought him his charity, and he said, 'O Allah, send blessings upon the family of Abu Awfa.'"

وكان من أصحاب الشجرة قال كان النبي ﷺ إذا أتاه رجل بصدقته قال اللهم صل على آل فلان قال فأتاه أبي بصدقته فقال اللهم صل على آل أبي أوفى
