I asked, "Messenger of Allah, I send out my trained hunting dog."He said, "When you send out your trained dog and mention the name of Allah, then if it holds the prey for you, eat it."I asked, "Even if it kills the prey?"He said, "Even if it kills it, as long as no other dog joined it."I asked, "Messenger of Allah, what about when I shoot with a featherless arrow?"He said, "If it pierces, then eat. But if it strikes with its broad side and kills, do not eat."

قلت يا رسول الله أرسل كلبي المكلب قال إذا أرسلت كلبك المكلب وذكرت اسم الله فأمسك عليك فكل قال قلت وإن قتل قال وإن قتل ما لم يشاركه كلب غيره قال قلت يا رسول الله فأرمي بالمعراض قال ما خزق فكل وما أصاب بعرضه فقتل فلا تأكل
