The Prophet ﷺ said, "Guard yourselves against the Fire." Then he turned his face aside, so much so that we thought he was looking at it. Then he said again, "Guard yourselves against the Fire," and turned his face aside. He said this two or three times, "Guard yourselves against the Fire, even with half a date, and if you cannot find that, then with a kind word."
حدثنا أسود حدثنا شريك عن الأعمش عن خيثمة عن ابن معقل
قال النبي ﷺ اتقوا النار قال فأشاح بوجهه حتى ظننا أنه ينظر إليها ثم قال اتقوا النار وأشاح بوجهه قال قال مرتين أو ثلاثا اتقوا النار ولو بشق تمرة فإن لم تجدوا فبكلمة طيبة
