I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about game struck by a featherless arrow. He replied, "Whatever it strikes with its sharp edge so as to pierce, you may eat. But whatever it strikes with its broad side and kills, that is considered beaten to death, so do not eat it."

سألت رسول الله ﷺ عن صيد المعراض فقال ما أصاب بحده فخرق فكل وما أصاب بعرضه فقتل فإنه وقيذ فلا تأكل
