Ubaydullah bin Ziyad summoned me, so I went to him. He said, "What are these reports you narrate and pass on from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ which we cannot find in the Book of Allah? You claim that he has a Pool in Paradise."I replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us about it and promised it to us."He said, "You are lying. You are simply an old man who has grown senile."I said, "My own ears heard it and my heart retained it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, 'Whoever lies about me deliberately, let him take his seat in Hell.' I have not lied about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."Zayd also told us in his gathering, "A man among the people of the Fire will be enlarged for the Fire until one of his molars is the size of Mount Uhud."
قال يزيد بن حيان حدثنا
بعث إلي عبيد الله بن زياد فأتيته فقال ما أحاديث تحدثها وترويها عن رسول الله ﷺ لا نجدها في كتاب الله تحدث أن له حوضا في الجنة قال قد حدثناه رسول الله ﷺ ووعدناه قال كذبت ولكنك شيخ قد خرفت قال إني قد سمعته أذناي ووعاه قلبي من رسول الله ﷺ يقول من كذب علي متعمدا فليتبوأ مقعده من جهنم وما كذبت على رسول الله ﷺ وحدثنا زيد في مجلسه قال إن الرجل من أهل النار ليعظم للنار حتى يكون الضرس من أضراسه كأحد
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Hayan Taymi is Yahya bin Saeed bin Hayan, trustworthy, and his hadith appears in the Sihah Sittah (the six major collections). Yazid bin Hayan is trustworthy, and his hadith appears in Muslim. The hadith appears in Bukhari 1/200, no. 107, in the book of knowledge, on the sin of lying about the Prophet ﷺ, and in Muslim 4/1874, no. 2408, in the virtues of the companions, the virtues of Ali, and in Tirmidhi 4/703, no. 2578, where he said, hasan gharib.
