A group of bedouins came to the Prophet ﷺ wearing striped woolen cloaks. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ urged the people to give charity, but they were slow to respond, until the displeasure could be seen on his face. Then a man from the Ansar came forward with a piece of gold and placed it down, and the people followed one after another until the joy of it could be seen on his face.He said, "Whoever introduces a good practice that is acted upon after him will have its reward and the equivalent of the reward of those who act upon it, without anything being diminished from their rewards. And whoever introduces an evil practice that is acted upon after him will bear its burden and the burden of those who act upon it, without anything being diminished from their burdens."
حدثنا سفيان عن عاصم ابن أبي النجود عن أبي وائل
أن قوما أتوا النبي ﷺ من الأعراب مجتابي النمار فحث رسول الله ﷺ الناس على الصدقة فأبطئوا حتى رئي ذلك في وجهه فجاء رجل من الأنصار بقطعة تبر فطرحها فتتابع الناس حتى عرف ذلك في وجهه فقال من سن سنة حسنة فعمل بها من بعده كان له أجرها ومثل أجر من عمل بها من غير أن ينتقص من أجورهم شيء ومن سن سنة سيئة عمل بها من بعده كان عليه وزرها ووزر من عمل بها ولا ينقص ذلك من أوزارهم شيئا
