Jareer reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no people who commit sins while among them is a man more honored and stronger than they are, who does not change their behavior, except that Allah envelops them all with punishment," or he said, "punishment befalls them."

حدثنا حجاج بن محمد أخبرنا شريك عن أبي إسحاق

عن المنذر بن جرير عن أبيه قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ ما من قوم يعملون بالمعاصي وفيهم رجل أعز منهم وأمنع لا يغيرون إلا عمهم الله عز وجل بعقاب أو قال أصابهم العقاب
