Jareer said, "I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about an unintended glance, and he ordered me to turn my gaze away."
حدثنا إسماعيل عن يونس عن عمرو بن سعيد
قال جرير سألت رسول الله ﷺ عن نظرة الفجأة فأمرني أن أصرف بصري
Its isnad is sahih. His grandson, Abu Zura bin Amr bin Jareer, is among the trustworthy successors. The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 3/1699, no. 2159, in the chapter on manners, regarding the sudden glance, by Abu Dawud, 2/246, no. 2148, and by Tirmidhi, 5/151, no. 2776.
