We were on a journey and could not find water. Later we came upon water, and the people began offering drinks to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Every time they brought him something to drink, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say, "The one who serves a people drinks last." He said this three times, until they had all drunk.
حدثنا حجاج حدثني شعبة عن أبي المختار من بني أسد قال سمعت
كنا في سفر فلم نجد الماء قال ثم هجمنا على الماء بعد قال فجعلوا يسقون رسول الله ﷺ فكلما أتوه بالشراب قال رسول الله ﷺ ساقي القوم آخرهم ثلاث مرات حتى شربوا كلهم
