Ibn Abu Mulayka reported,

Meaning, Ibn Abbas sought permission to enter upon Ayesha, but her nephews kept urging her to admit him.She said, "I fear that he will praise me excessively."When she finally allowed him in, he said, "There is nothing between you and meeting your loved ones except for the soul to part from the body. You were the most beloved of the wives of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ loved only what was wholesome and pure. Your necklace fell on the night of al-Abwa, and verses of the Quran were revealed concerning you. There is not a mosque among the mosques of the Muslims in which your innocence is not recited throughout the hours of the night and the hours of the day."She replied, "Spare me your praise, Ibn Abbas. By Allah, I would have wished..."
