I heard my father mention that his father heard Abu Bakr saying, "I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, 'Messenger of Allah, are deeds based on what has already been decreed, or on something newly initiated?'He replied, 'Rather, they are based on what has already been decreed.'I asked, 'Then what is the point of action, Messenger of Allah?'He said, 'Everyone is made easy for what he was created for.'"
حدثنا علي بن عياش قال حدثنا العطاف بن خالد قال حدثني رجل من أهل البصرة
سمعت أبي يذكر أن أباه سمع أبا بكر وهو يقول قلت لرسول الله ﷺ يا رسول الله العمل على ما فرغ منه أو على أمر مؤتنف قال بل على أمر قد فرغ منه قال قلت ففيم العمل يا رسول الله قال كل ميسر لما خلق له
