Rafi bin Rifa came to a gathering of the Ansar and said, "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ has today forbidden us from something that used to make our livelihoods easier. He forbade us from Kira Ard."He said, "Whoever has land, let him cultivate it himself, or let his brother cultivate it, or let him leave it. He also forbade us from the earnings of the cupper and instructed us to feed those earnings to our water-carrying camels. He forbade us from the earnings of a female slave except for what she works with her own hands."He gestured with his fingers like this, indicating baking bread, spinning, and carding wool.

جاء رافع بن رفاعة إلى مجلس الأنصار فقال لقد نهانا نبي الله ﷺ اليوم عن شيء كان يرفق بنا في معايشنا فقال نهانا عن كراء الأرض قال من كانت له أرض فليزرعها أو ليزرعها أخاه أو ليدعها ونهانا عن كسب الحجام وأمرنا أن نطعمه نواضحنا ونهانا عن كسب الأمة إلا ما عملت بيدها وقال هكذا بأصابعه نحو الخبز والغزل والنفش
Its isnad is sahih. Tariq bin Abdul-Rahman Qurashi is trustworthy, and his hadith is found in Muslim. The hadith has already appeared in similar form at 17223.
