A young boy from the people of Quba, who lived to old age, reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to them at Quba and sat in the courtyard of the fortress, and people gathered around him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked for water to drink, and he was brought some. He drank, while I was on his right side, and I was the youngest of the group. He handed it to me and I drank. I remember that he led us in prayer that day wearing his sandals, which he did not take off.

عن غلام من أهل قباء أنه أدركه شيخا قال جاءنا رسول الله ﷺ بقباء فجلس في فناء الأجم واجتمع إليه ناس فاستسقى رسول الله ﷺ فسقي فشرب وأنا عن يمينه وأنا أحدث القوم فناولني فشربت وحفظت أنه صلى بنا يومئذ وعليه نعلان لم ينزعهما
