Abdullah bin Zubayr said, concerning a sale or a gift that Ayesha had given away, "By Allah, Ayesha must stop this, or I will have her declared incompetent to manage her property."Ayesha asked, "Did he really say that?"They said, "Yes."She said, "I vow to Allah that I will never speak a single word to Ibn Zubayr again."So Abdullah bin Zubayr sought the intercession of Miswar bin Makhrama and Abdul-Rahman bin Aswad bin Abd Yaghuth, both of whom were from the clan of Zuhra, and he mentioned the matter to them.Miswar and Abdul-Rahman then began appealing earnestly to Ayesha to speak with him and accept his apology, saying to her, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the kind of shunning you well know about, saying, 'It is not lawful for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three nights.'"
