Tufayl bin Harith reported,

He was a man from Azd Shanua and was the maternal brother of Ayesha through her mother Umm Ruman. He then related the hadith, saying that he sought the help of Miswar bin Makhrama and Abdul-Rahman bin Aswad bin Abd Yaghuth in approaching her. The two asked her permission to enter, and she granted it. They spoke with her, appealing to her by Allah, by their kinship, and by the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "It is not lawful for a Muslim man to shun his brother for more than three days."
