He was a man from Azd Shanua and was the maternal brother of Ayesha through her mother Umm Ruman. He then related the hadith, saying that he sought the help of Miswar bin Makhrama and Abdul-Rahman bin Aswad bin Abd Yaghuth in approaching her.
