A bucket of water was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. He drank from it, then spat back into the bucket, then poured it into the well. Or he drank from the bucket, then spat into the well, and from it came a fragrance like the scent of musk.

أتي النبي ﷺ بدلو من ماء فشرب منه ثم مج في الدلو ثم صب في البئر أو شرب من الدلو ثم مج في البئر ففاح منها مثل ريح المسك
