Rubai said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and during the caliphates of Abu Bakr and Umar I took part in some forty or some thirty expeditions, between major campaigns and smaller raiding parties."Ibn Jafar said, "Thirty-three or forty-three, between major campaigns and smaller raiding parties."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن شعبة وابن جعفر قال ثنا شعبة عن قيس بن مسلم قال سمعت
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ وغزوت في خلافة أبي بكر وعمر بضعا وأربعين أو بضعا وثلاثين من بين غزوة وسرية وقال ابن جعفر ثلاثا وثلاثين أو ثلاثا وأربعين من غزوة إلى سرية
Its isnad is sahih. The hadith is found in Tayalisi 180, no. 1280, and Tabarani 8/385, no. 8205, and Haythami said in 9/408, "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."
