Miqdad said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Badr, "Messenger of Allah, we will not say to you what the Children of Israil said to Musa, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We will remain sitting here' [Maidah 5:24]. Rather, go, you and your Lord, and fight, and we will fight alongside you."
Its isnad is sahih. Muharraq bin Abdullah bin Jabir, also said to be Muharraq bin Abul-Muharriq, the Ahmasi or Ahmari, was deemed reliable by Ibn Hibban, and no one has criticized him. The hadith has been mentioned before, and it appears in Bukhari 7/287, no. 3952 of Fath, and in Hakim 3/349, where Dhahabi agreed with him, and in Hilyah 1/173.
