The Prophet's ﷺ finger was struck by something, and Ibn Jafar said it was a stone, causing it to bleed. He said, "You are only a finger that has bled, and what you have suffered is in the path of Allah."

أصاب إصبع النبي ﷺ شيء وقال ابن جعفر حجر فدميت فقال هل أنت إلا إصبع دميت وفي سبيل الله ما لقيت
