On the day of Hudaybiyyah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made a peace agreement with the polytheists on three conditions. Whoever came to them from the Prophet ﷺ would not be returned, but whoever came to us from among them would be sent back to them. The Prophet ﷺ and his companions would come the following year and enter Mecca to perform Umrah, staying no more than three days, and they would not enter carrying weapons except those carried in sheaths, such as swords, bows, and the like.

وادع رسول الله ﷺ المشركين يوم الحديبية على ثلاث من أتاهم من عند النبي ﷺ لن يردوه ومن أتى إلينا منهم ردوه إليهم وعلى أن يجيء النبي ﷺ من العام المقبل وأصحابه فيدخلون مكة معتمرين فلا يقيمون إلا ثلاثا ولا يدخلون إلا جلب السلاح السيف والقوس ونحوه
