The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do seven things and forbade us from seven. He commanded us to visit the sick, to follow funeral processions, to bless the one who sneezes, to return greetings of peace, to accept invitations, to help the wronged, and to fulfill the oath of one who swears.He forbade us from using vessels of gold and silver, from wearing gold rings, from wearing silk, brocade, qassi cloth, red saddle cushions, and heavy silk.Abdul-Rahman did not mention vessels of gold and silver.
حدثنا وكيع عن أبيه وعلي بن صالح عن أشعث بن سليم عن معاوية بن سويد بن مقرن قال أبي وعبد الرحمن قال حدثنا شعبة عن أشعث بن سليم قال سمعت معاوية بن سويد
أمرنا رسول الله ﷺ بسبع ونهانا عن سبع أمرنا بعيادة المريض واتباع الجنائز وتشميت العاطس ورد السلام وإجابة الداعي ونصر المظلوم وإبرار المقسم ونهانا عن آنية الذهب والفضة والتختم بالذهب ولبس الحرير والديباج والقسي والمياثر الحمر والإستبرق ولم يذكر عبد الرحمن آنية الذهب والفضة
