The Prophet ﷺ made a treaty with the people of Makkah that he and his companions would stay for three days, and that they would not enter the city except with the julubban of weapons.I asked, "What is the julubban of weapons?"He replied, "The sheath and what it contains."
حدثنا يحيى عن شعبة قال حدثنا أبو إسحاق قال سمعت
صالح النبي ﷺ أهل مكة على أن يقيموا ثلاثا ولا يدخلوها إلا بجلبان السلاح قال قلت وما جلبان السلاح قال القراب وما فيه
Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Bukhari 5/303, no. 2698, in Fath al-Bari, chapter on peace treaties, "How is this written, this which so-and-so made peace upon." And Abu Dawud 2/167, no. 1832, in the chapter on the rites of pilgrimage, "One in Muharram carrying weapons." And something similar is found in Muslim 3/1409, no. 1783, in the chapter on jihad, "The treaty of Hudaybiya."
