The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us on the Day of Sacrifice and said, "Let no one slaughter until we have prayed."My maternal uncle stood and said, "Messenger of Allah, this is a day on which meat is disliked to be left, and I hurried and slaughtered my sacrificial animal to feed my family and the people of my household," or he said, "my family and my neighbors."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "What you have done was merely an ordinary slaughter, so offer another sacrifice."He said, "Messenger of Allah, I have a young milk-fed she-goat that is better than two sheep meant for meat. Shall I slaughter it?"He said, "Yes, and it will be the best of your sacrifice. But a young goat will not suffice as a sacrifice for anyone after you."
حدثنا إسماعيل أخبرنا داود عن الشعبي
خطبنا رسول الله ﷺ في يوم نحر فقال لا يذبحن أحد حتى نصلي فقام خالي فقال يا رسول الله هذا يوم اللحم فيه مكروه وإني عجلت وإني ذبحت نسيكتي لأطعم أهلي وأهل داري أو أهلي وجيراني فقال قد فعلت فأعد ذبحا آخر فقال يا رسول الله عندي عناق لبن هي خير من شاتي لحم أفأذبحها قال نعم وهي خير نسيكتك ولا تقضي جذعة عن أحد بعدك
