The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was carrying earth with us on the Day of the Confederates, saying, "O Allah, were it not for You, we would not have been guided, nor given charity, nor prayed. So send down tranquility upon us, and make our feet firm if we meet the enemy. These people have transgressed against us, and when they desire trial, we refuse." He would draw out his voice with the last words.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحاق قال سمعت
كان رسول الله ﷺ ينقل معنا التراب يوم الأحزاب ويقول اللهم لولا أنت ما اهتدينا ولا تصدقنا ولا صلينا فأنزلن سكينة علينا إن الألى قد بغوا علينا وإذا أرادوا فتنة أبينا يمد بها صوته
