The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do seven things and forbade us from seven. He mentioned what he commanded them, visiting the sick, following funeral processions, blessing the one who sneezes, returning the greeting of peace, fulfilling the oath of the one who swears, accepting the invitation of the one who invites, and helping the wronged.He forbade us from silver vessels, gold rings (or he said gold loops), istabraq, silk, dibaj brocade, mithara saddle cushions, and qassi garments.
حدثنا بهز حدثنا شعبة حدثنا الأشعث بن سليم عن معاوية بن سويد بن مقرن
أمرنا رسول الله ﷺ بسبع ونهانا عن سبع قال فذكر ما أمرهم من عيادة المريض واتباع الجنائز وتشميت العاطس ورد السلام وإبرار المقسم وإجابة الداعي ونصر المظلوم ونهانا عن آنية الفضة وعن خاتم الذهب أو قال حلقة الذهب والإستبرق والحرير والديباج والميثرة والقسي
Its isnad is sahih. Ashath bin Salim is the son of Abu Shatha, and he is trustworthy, his hadith being found in the collections of the Jamaah. The same applies to Muawiya bin Suwayd bin Muqarin, who is the son of the well-known companion.The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 3/112, no. 1239 in Fath, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on the command to follow funeral processions. Muslim 3/1635, no. 2066, in the Book of Clothing. Tirmidhi 5/117, no. 2809, in the Book of Manners, where he said, hasan sahih. And Nasai 4/54, no. 3939, similarly to Bukhari.18415m - Muhammad bin Jafar narrated to us, Shubah narrated to us from Ashath bin Salim, and he mentioned its meaning, except that he said, "returning the greeting of one who sneezes."
