The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you prostrate, place your palms on the ground and raise your elbows."
حدثنا أبو الوليد وعفان قالا حدثنا عبيد الله بن إياد قال حدثنا إياد بن لقيط
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا سجدت فضع كفيك وارفع مرفقيك
Its isnad is sahih. Abdullah bin Iyad bin Laqeet Sadusi is reliable, as is his father, and their hadith appears in the two Sahihs.The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 1/356, no. 494, in the Book of Prayer, chapter on moderation in sujud. Also by Ibn Khuzayma, 1/329, no. 656, and Tayalisi, 1/99, no. 442, al-Minha, and similarly by Abu Dawud, 1/336, no. 898, Ibn Majah, 1/285, no. 880, and Darimi, 1/351, no. 1331, all in the Book of Prayer, chapter on the description of sujud.
