The food that the Prophet ﷺ forbade from being sold until it is taken into possession. Ibn Abbas said, "I consider everything else to be like it."
حدثنا هشيم أنبأنا عمرو بن دينار عن طاوس
الطعام الذي نهى عنه النبي ﷺ أن يباع حتى يقبض قال ابن عباس وأحسب كل شيء مثله
Its isnad is sahih. Tawus bin Kaysan is trustworthy, one of the leading figures among the Tabiin.Hushaym, he is Ibn Bashir, as is apparent, though in kh it appears as Hashim, which is an error we have corrected from k. This is supported by the fact that among the teachers of Ahmad there is no one named Hashim except Hashim bin Qasim, and it is not mentioned that he narrates from Amr bin Dinar.His statement, "the food," is the subject, and "which" is the predicate, and this phrasing conveys restriction. He means that what he learned about the prohibition of selling before taking possession applies specifically to food, though he then holds the view that the meaning is general, applying to every sale, and that food and other things are equal in this regard.The hadith in its meaning was narrated by the whole group except Tirmidhi.
