A woman came to Ali and said that her husband had slept with her slave-girl.Ali said, "I have a decisive ruling on this matter, which I took from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. If you had given him permission, I will lash him a hundred times. If you had not given him permission, I will stone him to death."The people turned to her and said, "Your husband will be stoned. Say that you had given him permission."So she said, "I had given him permission."He then brought the man forward and lashed him a hundred times.
حدثنا هشيم عن أبي بشر عن حبيب بن سالم
أتته امرأة فقالت إن زوجها وقع على جاريتها قال أما إن عندي في ذلك خبرا شافيا أخذته عن رسول الله ﷺ إن كنت أذنت له ضربته مائة وإن كنت لم تأذني له رجمته قال فأقبل الناس عليها فقالوا زوجك يرجم قولي إنك قد كنت أذنت له فقالت قد كنت أذنت له فقدمه فضربه مائة
