Numan bin Bashir reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, and whenever I heard him say "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," I thought I would never hear anyone else on the pulpit say "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say," that there is a morsel of flesh in the human body. When it is sound and healthy, the rest of the body is sound and healthy, and when it is diseased, the rest of the body becomes diseased and corrupt. Truly, it is the heart.
