We accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and heard him say, "Before the Hour there will be trials like patches of dark night. A man will wake up a believer and become a disbeliever by evening, or be a believer in the evening and a disbeliever by morning. People will sell their share in the Hereafter for a small worldly gain, or for the goods of this world."Hasan said, "By Allah, we have seen them, forms without minds, bodies without intellects, moths drawn to fire, flies of greed. They go out in the morning for two dirhams and return in the evening for two dirhams. One of them sells his religion for the price of a goat."

صحبنا النبي ﷺ وسمعناه يقول إن بين يدي الساعة فتنا كأنها قطع الليل المظلم يصبح الرجل فيها مؤمنا ثم يمسي كافرا ويمسي مؤمنا ثم يصبح كافرا يبيع أقوام خلاقهم بعرض من الدنيا يسير أو بعرض الدنيا قال الحسن والله لقد رأيناهم صورا ولا عقول أجساما ولا أحلام فراش نار وذبان طمع يغدون بدرهمين ويروحون بدرهمين يبيع أحدهم دينه بثمن العنز
