Its isnad is sahih. Khalid is Ibn Abu al-Hudhail Hafs, known as al-Hadhdha (the shoemaker).Tirmidhi related it with the same meaning through Khalid, 4:351, and graded it sahih, and his commentator attributed it to Bukhari and Muslim, Nasai, and Ibn Majah. See also 2397, 2422, 2881, 3023, and 3033.
