Numan bin Bashir reported,

My mother asked my father to give me a certain gift, and he gave it to me. Then she said, "I will not be satisfied until you have the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a witness."So my father took me by the hand, while I was still a boy, and went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Messenger of Allah, the mother of this boy, the daughter of Rawahah, pressed me to give him a certain gift, and I have given it to him. She would like you to witness it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Bashir, do you have any other son besides this one?"He replied, "Yes."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Have you given him a gift like the one you have given this boy?"He answered, "No."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then do not call me as a witness, for I will not bear witness to an injustice."

حدثنا يعلى أخبرنا أبو حيان عن الشعبي

عن النعمان بن بشير قال

سألت أمي أبي بعض الموهبة لي فوهبها لي فقالت لا أرضى حتى تشهد رسول الله ﷺ قال فأخذ أبي بيدي وأنا غلام وأتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن أم هذا ابنة رواحة زاولتني على بعض الموهبة له وإني قد وهبتها له وقد أعجبها أن أشهدك قال يا بشير ألك ابن غير هذا قال نعم قال قال فوهبت له مثل الذي وهبت لهذا قال لا قال فلا تشهدني إذا فإني لا أشهد على جور
