I said, "Messenger of Allah, we hunt game and sometimes find no knife except a sharp stone or a split stick."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Make the blood flow with whatever you wish, and mention the name of Allah."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن سفيان عن سماك عن مري بن قطري
قلت يا رسول الله إنا نصيد الصيد فلا نجد سكينا إلا الظرار وشقة العصا فقال رسول الله ﷺ أمر الدم بما شئت واذكر اسم الله
Its isnad is sahih. Murrah bin Qatari Kufi is trustworthy, and no one has criticized him. The hadith was recorded by Abu Dawud, 3/103, no. 2824, in the Book of Sacrifices, in the chapter on slaughtering with Marwa, and by Nasai, 7/194, no. 4304, and by Tayalisi, 1/342, no. 742.
