Mughira bin Shuba said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wipe over the upper surfaces of his leather socks." Siraj and al-Hashimi also narrated this to us.

قال المغيرة بن شعبة رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يمسح على ظهور الخفين حدثناه سريج والهاشمي أيضا
Its isnad is sahih, and Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Zinad has some criticism directed at him, but he is corroborated here. The hadith has already appeared at 18074.
