Muawiya wrote to Mughira bin Shuba, asking him to write to him with something he had heard directly from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with no one between him and the Prophet.Mughira said, "He dictated to me and I wrote, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, Allah has forbidden three things and prohibited three things. As for the three that Allah has prohibited, they are idle gossip, persistent begging, and squandering wealth.'"
